The Dakini Mandala

of mind and emotion

A year long program to liberate deeply held emotional reactions and obstructions

with Nita Rubio

Traditional Tantric Sadhana for sincere seekers

Dakini's are organized constellations of energy that are the mirror of our minds. They are said to dance in the spaciousness of the sky (Skydancer) which is our unfettered and liberated mind.

In these practices we will be working with the Dakini Mandala of Emotions through the elements that we know as Earth, Water, Air, Fire & Space. We encounter these Dakini's through these elements, aligning with their pristine wisdom  and begin to work with our obstructed emotion with the practice and alchemy. When emotions are liberated we begin to touch the pristine awareness in ourselves and move as the Dakini's do......in freedom and potential of the full creative capacity of our inherent nature. We will work through the mandala to understand what emotions are and to transcend reactive patterns of emotion and behavior.

Through the practices with the Dakinis we begin to shift the atmosphere in which reactive emotions take hold and allow their liberated Dance to emerge. Our mind becomes luminous, lively (not busy) and vivid.

Our practices will include the actual alchemy with the Dakini, the element, and the organs in our bodies.  Through the practice of mantra and precise visualizations we  transform the "poisons" of our reactions into spaciousness and increase the nectar of liberated awareness.

Unexpectedly, as I opened myself to love, I was accepted.
So there is no questioning, no hesitation,
I am completely immersed in the all-powerful, the joyous Dakini mandala.
And here I found unwavering conviction that love is universal.
Five chakras of one’s body filled with love,
Love without question, love without possessions.

- Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

What is Traditional Tantric Sadhana?

Tantric practices  (sadhanas) are very precise methodologies to dismantle our identities entrenched in limited belief systems. When that work begins to happen we start to have a glimpse at what this human potential holds for transformation. We naturally begin to open to more compassionate actions and may see a different ground of reality both for ourselves and all sentient beings.

Traditional Tantra means it is based in lineage. This is a long line (thousands of years) of adept practitioners and teachers who pass these methodologies to their students through oral tradition. Though we can google a lot of information about practices these days...it is the context and orientation to the practices provided by the initiated teacher that enlivens the practices. It is a living tradition created by the relationship of teacher and student.
